Hello everyone, my name is Derek Williams and I grew up in San Jose, CA. I live in Arizona now for about year.  As you can see, I’m a graphic/web designer/music artist and so much more. Most of the skills and knowledge I have are self-taught, but I did attend Masters Institute for a two year Multi-Media program for my AA. I refreshed my skills that I have taught myself since I was 13.  I started designing games on a commodore 64 in Basic.  This is where I started, with grid paper and all.  X Y coordinates to create games similar to Kings Quest (Sierra).  I was a big time quest nut.  There was a problem with the commodore though it only had 16 colors and very limited memory space.   So, further down future I got a IBM, and started running GW-Basic, once again limited.  This pushed me into Pascal, C, and C++.  Several others languages I have picked up along the way.

I have also worked with JavaScript, Flash, C Sharp for XBOX game development.

We have come a long way from those days and designing 2D or 3D graphics in a limited environment. 

Present

Currently, I’m working as a full time designer. On my free time, I do a lot of gaming.  Designing for fun and later usage for customer/clients for omatic-minds.com.
